Eminem Rap Legend

Winner of the Best rap album and best rap solo performance Eminem had 10 nominations and took home Grammy History.

The rapper and music legend put out his seventh studio album, Recovery which was released in June in the US, and the album sold 741,000 in its first week on the Billboard 200.

He later won a Grammy for the first single, Not Afraid", that debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, followed by a second single, Love the Way You Lie with Ri Ri, which debuted at number 2 where he collaborated with the Loud pop singer Rhianna.

Reports and bloggers alike agree that the album Recovery received positive reviews from most music critics selling three million copies in the US.

Many of his fans remember when Eminem appeared at the 2010 BET Awards, performing Airplanes Part II with B.o.B and Not Afraid which won him a grammy in 2011.

Stadium Home and Home Tour Jay-Z

It was a smash and he also performed at the Activison E3 concert. As of 2010, Eminem and Jay-Z announced they would perform together in a pair of concerts in Detroit and New York calling it the Home and Home Tour.

Since the first two concerts rapidly sold out, they decided to have an additional show at each venue. So with all this success would could be better than when BET also named Eminem the #1 rapper of the 21st century.

MTV Video Music Awards

I saw the performance where Eminem opened the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in september where he really put emotion in his lyrics for Not Afraid and Love the Way You Lie, with Rihanna who was beautiful with her hot red hairstyle.

Emcee of the Year

I was not surprised when the success of the Recovery album along with the Home Tour,ended he was named the 2010 Hottest MC in the Game by MTV and Emcee of the Year by Hip Hop news website HipHopDX.

Eminem and Rihanna collaborated and later he was on Nicki Minaj Pink Friday Album for the song titled Roman's Revenge. Interestingly the song references Minaj's alter ego Roman Zolanski and will feature Eminem's alter ego Slim Shady.

The Hip Hop Barbie went on to sell a million copies of her first album after a smash performance on SNL.

As you are probably aware Eminem featured on the track with T. I.'s album No Mercy with That's All She Wrote.

A new upcoming Eminem release includes a track called I Need a Doctor that features Dr. Dre, performed at the 53rd Grammy Awards with production by Alex da Kid it made headlines along with a track by the name of Echo featuring Royce Da 5'9.

As the Great Eminem Recovery of the number one music moment of 2010 it is no surprise that the artist would win in so many categories at this years Grammy awards show.

Shady Records

Multi-platinum record sales is not the only thing that the rap legend has to his credit he also has his own record label called Shady Records.

D12 Signed to label

His Detroit collective D12 and rapper Obie Trice are part of his label along with 50 Cent which is a joint venture between Shady and Dr. Dre's Aftermath label.

The Alchemist is now officially Eminem's tour DJ. In 2005, Eminem signed another Atlanta rapper, Bobby Creekwater, to his label along with West Coast rapper Cashis.

The group D12 also known as The Dirty Dozen is an American hip hop group from Detroit, Michigan.

There success includes hits in the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia selling over 10 million albums worldwide.

After their debut, D12 took a three-year break from the studio, later regrouping to release their second album, D12 World, featured the popular hit single release My Band.

A D12 member and Eminem's childhood friend Deshaun "Proof" Holton was killed in a club brawl on 8 Mile Road in Detroit, Michigan. Eminem and former Detroit Shady Records artist Obie Trice spoke at the funeral.

Some probably remember that Slim Shady had a brief cameo in the 2001 film, The Wash, Eminem made his official Hollywood acting debut with the semi-autobiographical 8 Mile, released in 2002.

Then recording several new songs for the soundtrack, including "Lose Yourself", which won an Academy Award for Best Original Song. 

Eminem voice-overs

Just by participating in various voice acting roles such as  the video game 50 Cent: Bulletproof, where he voices an aging corrupt police officer who speaks in Ebonics, as well as a guest spot on the Comedy Central television show Crank Yankers.

The web cartoon called The Slim Shady Show, which has since been sold on DVD.

My favorite part is the cameo appearance in the movie Funny People, in which he is involved in an argument with Ray Romano.

Later slim shady star in the 3D horror anthology, Shady Talez, directed by John Davis.

The cool part will be the comic book series based on the film published in 2010. Including playing himself along side christina aguilera on the on the Entourage Season 7 finale.

Southpaw

Eminem will star in the upcoming boxing drama, Southpaw, to be written by Kurt Sutter along with the upcoming thriller, Random Acts of Violence.

He goes by the name Marshall Bruce Mathers III and was born October 17, 1972. Now he is a successful rapper, record producer, and actor.

Getting his start with the Slim Shady LP, which won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.

Later came the The Marshall Mathers LP, which was the fastest selling solo album in U.S gaining mainstream recognition.
