I read an article that said the bug spray companies are doing jobs for $5k in offices and homes. They also said, these critters can go for 1 year without sucking on your blood. They are hard to see, about the size of a needle tip & just wait. When in hotels, I prefer full pjs to guard against those pesky bugs.

Yeah I saw the video on how Niketown had to close to get rid of bed bugs, I was really surprised because one would not expect a sneaker retailer to have them. Reports show that they can travel anywhere.

I think for someone who does not want to throw their bed away, and if they can not afford the expensive extermination process. Getting a mattress cover or encasement to seal the boxspring will keep the bed bugs from escaping and after a year they will die off.

Great article, and this has become a real scourge in America. I don't like hotels and motels much due to this infestation. I often wonder just how many of them really do try to get rid of the infestations. Thanks for the information.

BobbiRant, it will be interesting to see how many hotels and motels will handle this situation, because travelers will want some kind of reassurance that it has been taken care of.
