How to recover Data from your computer

It can be frustrating when your computer crashes, right in the middle of doing your taxes or while typing a term paper, downloading music or uploading photos. Well the good news is that not all is lost; information can be recovered from your computers hard-drive.

Here are some ways to solve the problem of lost data.

  • There are many software programs that recover data and can restore deleted files. One such program is called easy undelete, with this data recovery and undelete solution for windows you can recover lost or accidentally deleted files.
  • Some features include: recovery of lost files on any physical storage device or on unformatted hard drives and the best part is that this program runs on any version of windows.

How to recover data lost on your computer

  • The data on your computer is stored in its memory this is electronic storage for all your information.
  • Your hard drive in your CPU has data files on it, so when you take it to a data recovery specialist they can look at the master file table to find out all the bits of data that are on the drive.
  • They also can attempt to rebuild the data on the drive by hand by recreating the master boot record (MBR). To find out how Recovery Specialist do it check out: http://www.computerworld.com/
  • It is important to backup your files occasionally so as to easily access them later in case of a fire or water damage.
  • On the Microsoft website: www.microsoft.com/protect/yourself/data/what.mspx

They give suggestions on what types of files you may want to backup.

Now that you have some options, the next time you accidently delete your e-mail address book you won't stress out over it so much.

This is a good information.

I had encountered this scenario before when I accidentally formatted the wrong drive but gladly able to recover some data using filescavenger and getdataback software. However if you have overlapped the previous data, like you formatted and installed new windows in the drive then filescavenger and getdataback will not do any good.

But i think easyundelete will do a great job on it. Thanks for putting it here.

RA, very very useful. I'm kind of a moron and go on huge deleting sprees, then regret it. Great info. :)
