Believe this or not but ever since I was a little girl I get bad canker sores in my mouth, and recent years in my stomach and eusophigus but I suffer from a on-occuring virus called Kockzacky.
Thanks, this hub is good for my hubby (... get it ?)
you didn't say anything about the proton pump inhibitors like prilosec or the alkaline diet. Didnt mention slippery elm whhich suppose to work very well.
Thanks, Research Analyst
I have been reading about GERD and it can really signal some nasty and serious problems. If you're popping Tums constantly with no relief, SEE YOUR DOCTOR. Slippery elm -- I would definitely try that over consuming apple cider vineagar with meals. Yuck. That sounds like it would CAUSE heartburn!
Great Hub Research Analyst! Another tip for anyone out there suffering from acid reflux or GERD would be to find out WHY you are and WHAT is causing it. I was diagnosed with GERD and suffered from it for two years until I finally had enough and went to see a naturopathic doctor. After listening to my symptoms and my situation, she recommended that I get tested for food intolerances/allergies. Turns out, I am allergic to soy which was causing the reflux. I no longer take the medication I was on for 2 years, eat all the spicy food I want and no longer suffer from GERD :) Just another perspective, hope it helps!

Wonderful information. Some of which I already knew, some I didn't. Voted up.
