You can start a business from home on a shoe-string and all it takes is having a product that sells really well in direct mail campaigns.

Mail order has been around for many years and the idea is to get the person who receives the letter to open it and read the sales message.

In the sales letter is a call to action it is a direct sales pitch for a product that will help people solve a problem.

Once you send for the item you will continue to receive more pieces of mail for other products that vendors are introducing to you.

You can work from home and start a mail order business by just ordering a list of names of peoples addresses who have shown interest in a particular informational newsletter.

The mailing labels are targeted and usually belong to a household of 1-3 people who want to know how to do something, or they want to solve a problem and your product can provide the answer.

Some of the more successful products are CD's and they can be shipped easily with a company who will send out copies of your audio tapes or DVD's to a list of prospects.

Now here it is in a nutshell.

• with an ad that reads, "work at home opportunities free info send $2 in a SASE (Self addressed stamped envelope)
• to: Here is where you will put your address or Post Box. There you have it.
• You do get paid $2 from each envelope you receive from responses to the ad.(so if you receive 100 responses in a day there is your $200 a day) I'm sure that the responses will vary from day to day.
• Now you fill the SASE with the marketing material for which ever companies program you just joined.
• So if they are selling How To Guides for $39.99 each they are making a killing and all you got was the $2.
• So why not just cut out the middle man and just place the ad, and then fill the envelope with your own How to material. Then you get the whole enchilada. Not bad.
