What is Sisterlocks

Sisterlocks is hair care system originated by Dr. Joanne Cornwell, she has created more than a hairstyle it is a movement.

Black women have the opportunity to wear their hair natural with versatility and style.

African american hairstyles that require less time and more low maintenance is what most women seek in todays busy society.

How do I wear sisterlocks

Wearing sisterlocks is easy and you can choose from several hairstyles from updos, to ponytails, high braids or twists and half parts.

Whichever you prefer, because the size of your sisterlocks will vary depending on the thickness or your hair as well as the length.

Natural hair that allows for consistent protection of the hair so that it can grow long. Those who wear dreads often have long healthy locs down their backs with proper care and maintenance.

Styling Sisterlocks

You can add curls to your sisterlocks with twists, rollers or bantu knots, style while wet and let air dry, then take down each section and fluff.

You will notice that you have a head full of bouncy snappy curls that are full and coily.

How to get the look

If you have long locs you can take each section and get coils and curls that hang below your shoulders, you can also add jewelry and accessories to add to the style.

if you do not want the hair to be on your shoulders you can wear your hair up on top of your head and allow the ends to hang down in a curly loose bun.

I like this hub . I wear locks . It is not dread lock but it is not sisterlock either. It looks good and is very versatile . I wear mine long it is about 6 inches above my waist. I do not want it longer than my waist I suppose I will have to start trimming it when it reaches there.
