What Happened to the DJ with the Golden Voice One Year Later
I have been following the Homeless Panhandling Disc Jockey who took Youtube by storm just a year ago. As with many I have wondered just how he was doing.
Thanks to e-online entertainment tonight Ted is doing voice-over work with cable news group NECN and now has his own condo apartment and walk-in closet.
What a inspiring story for anyone who is homeless and is looking for a way to get re-acclimated into society.
Ted has a sober living coach, his own recording studio and with the help of Amy Purnell and Jeffrey Wilson of E Entertainment Ted's life is on track and he is committed to sobriety. Not only is the man with the golden voice, proud, grateful and privileged he has a worldwide fan base rooting for his success.
The best news is that Ted has written a book that covers how Faith, Hardwork and Humility can bring amazing results. His Book The Golden Voice will be available in May and explains how he went from the streets to salvation.
Reality TV for Ted Williams
The man with the radio announcers voice is back and this time he is filming his own reality television show with his family.
The biography will give Williams a chance to help other homeless people who have hidden talents. Many of the people who are homeless have lost hope and Williams hopes to inspire them from his story.
The youtube viral sensation had everyone rooting for him when his video was watched over 6 million times when a reporter record his voice on the side of the highway in Ohio.
Next Williams went on a very fast media spritz where he was interviewed extensively about his private life. It led to him entering rehab and now he is staying at a sober living home in Los Angeles.
The reality tv show is called "second chances for life" and now with a supportive team behind him he can do good for those who were touched by his talent and big heart.

Homeless man with velvety voice, is a star and the internet is going wild over the pan handler who is known as the homeless man with a golden voice. Erica Hill and Chris Wragge on CBS talk to Ted Williams about an offer as a stadium announcer and deals to cover the Americas Greatest Voice show in Hollywood. Reports show that Kevin McLoughlin of NFL Films wants to work with him too.
On the CBS television show they interview him and ask him about his life journey, he started as a radio personality in the late 80's up to 1997 for several radio stations. He is originally from Brooklyn where his mother Julia Williams lives who is 92 years old. Ted prayed he would be able to see her again when he was able to turn his life around.
The video uploaded to youtube is the most trendsetting video of the year. Everyone wants a second chance, the act of redemption and a opportunity to do over past mistakes makes this story a top one to start out the year.

This a good story, I hope he does well.
It's crazy isn't it? I don't even know this man, but I am so absolutely happy for him. It proves that good things do still happen and we have to be ready...never know what a day will hold. And yeah, I would be overwhelmed too but hopefully he is overwhelmed in a good way and that he will keep stepping forward.
This is one of the most inspirational stories I've read this long.
It is a story that tells every one to still believe in dreams, a pure attestation that indeed dreams come true.
Thanks RA For sharing.
Voted up!
That is a great story, Hope he is doing well
Great story and very well researched. Excellent job on this hub. What an amazing story of Ted Williams. Voted up awesome!!
And his mother is absolutely fabulous. Brooklyn (my hometown) is filled with amazing stories. And his wife...hats off to her because she had to carry his load. Hope he compensates her.
Nice hub - thanks!
I feel sorry for Ted...ex wife an up to nine kids will have there hands out ,when his 1st pay day comes
Research Analyst,
This is a great hub! A lot of time and effort went into putting this together. I hope Ted keeps it together this time. There are a lot of lives that were adversely impacted by his poor choices in the past, but now he has an opportunity to make amends for those actions. Thank you for sharing.
Reggie D.
I hope he can make it. I really didn't care for his mother's whole attitude in those interviews I saw, but I really don't know the whole story so I can't really judge her. It's good they are getting back together. I'm really happy for his whole family.
You did a lot of research for your story, better than any I've seen on TV. I am glad he overcame and the public came to his aid. He was a fallen star that burned out and only to have God sent someone to help him. There a lot of people like Ted Williams out there, they need someone to give a helping hand!
I really hope Ted stays clean. I saw him on Dr Phil a couple months ago and his family was on there saying that he was back into drugs and alcohol. That's awesome that he gets a second chance at life, but when you have a drug problem, money can make it much worse. I'll keep him in my prayers.
